Learning to Lead - Leading to Learn:

Developing Capacity for the Future Health Workforce

Friday, April 22, 2016, 1 PM– 2 PM ET
Learning to Lead and Leading to Learn: Workforce of the Future
Guests: Glenda Eoyang and Stewart Mennin

Around the world, health professionals face unprecedented challenges.  Chronic disease, political and economic pressures, cultural diversity, violence, and poverty challenge everyone to learn and to lead. To thrive, people must see, understand, and influence emergent patterns in chaotic environments. Those who prepare future health professionals need to integrate practice and theory to assure that learners gain fundamental skills they need to sustain their curiosity and humanity in authentic learning environments. Practitioners, teachers and students must learn to develop adaptive capacity to respond in an unpredictable future.

These guests have deep experience and insights in both these entwined processes.
